Pumpkin Spice...

I'm not proud of my Starbucks obsession, but I own it. Most of the year, I can be found starting my day with a tall soy, extra hot, no water chai tea latte and have been known to feel surly and off all day when I don't. I have managed to cut back my order, which used to also include an "extra chai" in there somewhere, but seriously. That's the best I can do. And today being September 1st, the unofficial first day of fall (and a balmy 95 degrees here in Nor Cal--not exactly fall-ish weather), Starbucks unveiled it's Pumpkin Spice latte for the season.

I won't say I dreamt about it last night, but I will admit that it was almost the very first thing I thought of this morning. I know, I know. Remember, I said I wasn't proud. But I knew that my first Pumpkin Spice latte of the season would also be my picture for the day--it was just that kind of a reunion, you know? Picture-worthy & representative of my day.

I'll probably indulge in them for another couple of days and then go back to my chai until it is actually brisk and autumnal out there--it's a shame to waste that pumpkin-y goodness on sweltering still-actually-summer days.

:) You know I love it!
(and I had no idea you could order a chai latte like that... it sounds better than how I normally get it!!)
And you know, it was in the 90's here too today, but I didn't even think about it twice as I sipped my hot pumpkin latte!

ha! yesterday we went through Starbucks and I was all excited telling my husband "pumpkin spice lattes are back that means it's fall!" even though I didn't order it because it was 95 degrees. And now I'm realizing that even though it was a nice and rainy 70 today, I totally forgot and just got my usual non fat vanilla latte. oops! guess I have to make another Starbucks run tomorrow!

Had one yesterday, and I have no regrets. I didn't even feel like I was cheating on my normal caramel frap no whip one pump of caramel and 2 percent milk please and thank you. :)
